Bill Whyte Floorcoverings is an independent carpet, vinyl, Karndean and laminate supplier based in Leyland, Lancashire. We have a comprehensive selection of flooring on display at our shop off King Street, Leyland. We also have a dedicated Karndean area with the full range of products on display, with samples available for customers to take away.

What We Do

We are the area’s leading supplier of quality flooring, all at affordable prices! We carry in stock over 75 rolls of carpets and vinyl, from the leading manufacturers, and because we buy in bulk, we can pass the savings on to you! All of the carpets and vinyl we stock carry savings of up to 40% off the normal retail price, and because they are in stock we can fit them almost immediately!

About us

Bill Whyte started the business in a small shop on Towngate in 1987 and in 2006 moved premises to Kings Court Industrial Estate, off King Street where it is now situated.

Bill and family are now all residing in Australia and the business was bought by ourselves in 2014. We are Derek and Judy Leather, RAD Floors Ltd.

Derek had worked for Bill as a carpet fitter for 25 years and saw this as an opportunity to give his knees a well-earned rest – though he does still do the odd job when the need arises.

Carpets

We have in stock at any one time over 60 rolls of carpet, at unbeatable prices. We stock British and European made carpets, from the likes of Abingdon, Cormar, Associated Weavers and many more.

 

At Bill Whyte Floorcovering, we can supply many different styles of carpets. From luxurious supersoft carpets to cheaper hardwearing carpets that are suitable for rental properties. We are sure to have something to suit your budget and any requirements you may have.

Feel free to call into our purposely built showroom to receive a warm welcome and no selling pressure selling. We offer a free no obligation measuring service and you can, of course, take samples away to choose in the comfort of your own home.

The majority of our carpets are bleach cleanable and stain-free polypropylene that is both practical and hardwearing. We also carry samples from Ulster Carpets, Brintons, and Westex to name a few. The quality of which is second to none.

Vinyls

We keep in stock over 15 rolls of vinyl, all at unbeatable prices, from the likes of Tarkett, Leoline and Rhinofloor, either for immediate fitting, or to cut off the roll and take away. Whether it’s for bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, hallways, home offices, the list of areas in your home which can benefit from having vinyl flooring fitted goes on.

 

We have the latest ranges from top names Leoline and Rhinofloor on display in store. Ideal for use in all areas around the home especially bathrooms and kitchens which are prone to moisture.
Styles vary from the realistic looking wood planks and parquet to the more striking tile designs and those with added sparkle.  We also undertake all required floor preparation, ensuring your vinyl floor looks great for many years.
We stock Tarkett and Rhinofloor vinyl, as well as cheaper, budget options. We stock top of the range RHINOFLOOR ELITE at only £16.99yd² fitted. We challenge you to find the same quality cheaper elsewhere!

We have on display the full range of Balterio laminate from the basic options through to the Grande waterproof range there is sure to be something to suit all styles and budgets.
